Keep your hands — and ears — free
JBL has jumped on the neckband speaker trend with the nifty Soundgear wearable Bluetooth® speaker. I'll admit — when I first saw this new speaker style that rests on your shoulders, I was a little dismissive. Then I tried one.
It turns out they are really convenient for walking around and doing chores. I could listen to a podcast wirelessly from my phone while I washed dishes, and still stay aware of what the kids were doing in the other room. Plus I didn't have to carry the speaker by hand if I left the kitchen.
Halo of sound
JBL is known for squeezing big sound from compact speaker designs. Here, they used four strategically placed 1-1/4" drivers to create a solid stereo listening experience around your head. It works well for music, but also gives you a better audio experience for online videos or virtual reality games.
Easy controls and clear phone calls
You'll find volume controls on the left "shoulder." If a call comes through, just hit the multi-purpose play/pause button to answer. There's a dual-mic system inside to help prevent echoing on your end. And those internal drivers will sound way more clear than the speakerphone function on your smartphone.
