It works great, performance good, quality good, features are nice, user friendly set up well here's where the problem exist, its not as easy as it appears from the instructions a 1,2,3 set up plug and play feature didnt happen at least with my setup. You have to go to the website, find router set up account then jump another place then go back several times it took some time to set it up but once I did I was pleased.

It doesn't run DDWRT. The ability to run DDWRT is just about the only feature that matters when buying an old router. While the software leaves some to be desired I was actually given tech support by the manufacturer. That sort of impressed me. But it shouldn't have taken 90 minutes and remote install software they could have just told me the default router password was 'admin'.

Easy setup. Crisp, feature-filled interface. Cloud-based remote access and management. NAS functionality and printer sharing. Supports pre-daft 11ac. USB 3.0 port. The 6400's connectivity options are one USB 3.0 port, four Gigabit LAN and a Gigabit WAN ports. The USB port can be used for connecting external hard drivers or printers. Setup is complete in five steps: Power on; connect the Internet cable to the WAN port; wait for the router's LED to turn a solid green; connect to the pre-configured SSID (the SSID name and password are printed in the setup guide); and open a web browser to complete final settings. I have this as an emergency backup. I thought I might have a router problem, BUT the real problem was my ISP was Very Over Subscribed and that was why my internet kept dropping.

Bought this as an upgrade to my 12-year old Lynksys Router. I’ve experienced much less (if any) data buffering - probably because of my new modem. The router’s information page gives a lot of information such as what devices are online and connected to your network, the ability to turn on/off guest network and assign its own password. I really like the feature of being able to allow/not allow devices to have network access, for example, I can program the router to allow access in my son’s Xbox for certain days and time periods. Setup was a snap.
