Mr EdwardsSimple to use and will work if you spend 2 minutes prepping the tire so the bead is closer to the outer edge of the rim rather than loose in the center of the rim.. My Joe blow track pump head was a little snug to attach and i could only get 120psi but that was my pump.. inflated racing ralph 29/2.25 on 100 psi dry no sealant.
MichaelExcellent product, makes tubeless tyre fitting quick and easy.
Mr OglePerfect for inflating tubeless tyres. Works well
Mr WILTSHIREGreat product made pumping up a tubeless tyre easy
JamesQuality construction, sturdy and great value for money.
MarkEasy to use and does what you expect it to do. Sturdy and well made too
Mr PWithout doubt the best cycling tool I have ever purchased. 700 x 28 tubeless tyres fitted and inflated in no time.
DemonixSolid workshop quality inflator, I was having a complete nightmare trying to seat a 2.4 Nobby Nic with a track pump. Valve core out and the Beto charged to 160psi and the satisfying crack of a tl tyre seating properly , job done!
Mr WillcoxI'd been putting off replacing the tubeless Huthchinsons on my road bike as the last time had almost led to divorce then I came across this. Fantastic ! My pump would only just fill the air tank to the 140 psi recommended but then in action it was so easy. Tyres seated perfectly first time and then again after adding sealant using removable valves and Stans injector . Finally fitting tubeless tyres is a doddle.
Mr HawkinsI had difficulty getting this up to 160psi with my track pump at first. When I did succeed it worked very well. My pump is a Joe Blow Max and it seemed to be at the limit of its capacity with the handle flexing and very slow inflation over 120psi. (I was at the limit of my capacity too!) Maybe there are track pumps that would perform better?
Mr AshtonAbsolutely fantastic to use. So simple and effective. Anyone having difficulties inflating tubeless tyres should just but this product, they will never have any difficulties ever again.
Mr DI bought this for fitting tubless tyres on my road bike and I must say it does pump up as intended! Only criticism is that the valve to inflate the tank is shrouded by the handle so if you have a track pump like a Joe blow (like I do) then it's a little tricky to mount the valve to pump up the tank but other than that it's fab and was a great price
BrianI would say its a must have for anyone wishing to go tubeless.
Mr GenoniThis is a great product at a really good price. It got the tyre seated in a way no track pump or CO2 could do. Arrived promptly
JamesUsed it once works well and good price
ChristopherThis really helps gets tubeless tyres seated the first time. Needs a decent track/floor pump to get it up to pressure.
MartinMakes setting up tubeless tyres easy
Mr RichardsThis Beto Air Tank Inflator is really effective at seating MTB and gravel tyres and is really easy and straightforward to use. Due to it being fairly heavy and having a good base, it is also very stable so your hands are free to check that the tyre is seating okay. Its not something I would use often, but its worth the money when needed.
The KingGood product, robust and very well made. I needed to get it to about 160 psi to seal the tyres, but once up to pressure it got the job done. It makes sealing tubeless tyres easy.
ARPDid the job perfectly seating tubeless tyres
APOLONIOFantastic peace of kit for tubeless tyre. Will highly recommend
TGreat product, easy to use, takes about 40 pumps on a track pump to get to 160psi. Metal stand makes it feel very good quality
Mr CARTERWhat can I say after trying to seat tyres with track pump brought this and wow seats tyres first time and you get the tyre pop sound that it’s seated . Should have got one a long time ago. Excellent product excellent price and as usual superb service from Merlin
Mr DDoes the job, solid design, good value for money.
Mike WGot tubeless tyres? Get one of these. Just use your track pump to fill the tank, attach the hose and flip the lever. Your tyre pops up on the rim first time, every time. You can even keep your pump attached to adjust the pressure. Easy peasy.
adrianWhat a great piece of kit, simple to use and a great price .
SusanExcellent piece of kit. Simple to use
Mr SmithAfter struggling to re-seat the front tyre, this became a necessary purchase. It is reasonably priced and arrived quickly, and meant I was able to remount the tyre promptly. Hopefully I will not need it again any time soon, but was worth the purchase.
AndrewWorks great at seating even the loosest of tyre beads. Bargain price too.
Mr SmithOrdered this pump as I was having trouble seating my tubeless MTB tyre's. Does exactly what it needed to do at 100 PSI without any hassle. Just pump it up with your floor pump and release the air stored within the chamber and instantly inflated the tyre with the iconic pop of the rim and tyre sesating perfectly. Great service form Merlin Cycles and delivered quicker than the expected delivery times.
Mr MillsAfter taking my tubeless tyres off to repair a hole that wouldn't seal, I then had the pain of trying to re-seat them. No matter what I tried, nothing worked until I committed and bought a tubeless inflator. Solidly built and did the job first time, I emitted a high pitch shriek of delight when it inflated and purposely deflated it just to use it again. Takes a lot of pumping up but I can live with that.
KeithWell built, easy to use and works every time
ChrisMy only complaint with the inflator is that the charging valve has two plastic ridges around it, so that the head of my Topeak Joe Blow has to be at an odd angle to fit. It still worked, and tubeless tyres were up and seated inside 15 seconds. It's saved me so much time. I think this is a superb, solidly well made piece of kit.
JamesWhen trying out didn't think the pressure would be enough to seat a tyre but when actually used it as intended it worked perfectly. 5 star because I can't find a fault fit the price would definitely recommend.
Mr CresswellIf you are going to go tubeless then get one of these NOW! At this price its a very good investment and the tank feels like it is constructed to last a very long time. With Tubeless you need the ability to dump a high volume of air into the tyre to seal the beads, CO2 cartridges can do this but not every time and so they can become a costly way to set up and maintain your tyres. This charge tank takes a little elbow grease to reach 140 to 160 psi and then you are ready to go. The design is very robust, base plate keeps it stable, handle on to for easy use and the toggle to release the air is large and easy to operate one handed. The hose is a decent length and connector easy to use. The only down side might be the inlet valve location, it is recesed into the top cap area so safe if the tank gets knocked over, but some track pumps with larger heads may struggle to connect. My Bontrager is ok but its a tight fit.
Mr ANDERSONThis is a fantastic device, and essential for seating difficult 700c / 28 inch road tyres. I have never had any problems seating tubeless tyres on my 26" Mavic mountain bike rims however, I have recently been struggling to Schwalbe G-One tubeless easy tyres onto Alex Draw 1.9P tubeless rims. The 1.9p Draw rims claim to be tubeless ready however, compared to the Mavic rims they are a nightmare. The rims have a very narrow seat for the tyre beads to sit on. Consequently the bead pops off the rim at low pressure and doesn't stay seated. I have had to re-seat them ten times, and it was killing me! The Beto inflator is a lifesaver (until I can buy some Mavic rims 700c). Before using it I prepared the valve and rim tape, added Stans sealant, and sprayed some bubbles on the tyre to ease seating. Filling the inflator to 140-160psi becomes difficult however, it is much easier than frantically pumping a track pump! The stand out feature is that you keep your track pump connected to the inflator, and the pump pressure gauge shows you the tyre pressure once the air pressure in tyre and inflator has equalised. It is very easy to top up the tyre pressure if needed to help the final bead seating without disconnecting it. Genuinely brilliant. Having struggled with difficult rims (I don't have a problem with Schwalbe tyres) I have found this to be a lifesaver! I thought about making a ghetto diy inflator however, I needed reliability and this inflator has worked every time, flawlessly. Highly recommended.
DanielDoes exactly what you need it to do, though is quite an effort to get it up to pressure. Remember you'll need a track pump to get it to pressure.
PaulSo far so good. This thing is bomb proof. Makes seating tubeless tyres brilliantly easy.
ROBERTI had been struggling with my tubeless setup for ages, this air tank is superb! Really well made and my tyres went straight up. Top notch.
Mr McHaleHaven't got anything to compare it too but it does the job fine and is simple to use.
Mr TurnerAfter reading lots of reviews to find the best pump for tubeless tyres, I settled for this one. Excellent choice, easy to use, does the job. Quick delivery, sent the same day!
JamesDoes it exactly what it says. I had a tyre that just wouldn't inflate and seat no matter what I tried. Went up first time with this. Well built, reasonably priced, works.
kevvjjBrilliant bit of kit! This inflator is built like a tank and will last forever. It is very easy to use indeed. Simply pump it up to around 140 psi using your own track pump, attach to tyre valve and open the lever - For a 700c cyclocross tyre it sealed first time every time and even had enough air to inflate to correct pressure. There are other inflators available at this price point but this one is workshop quality. Highly recommended. Merlin have a good price on this, their delivery was quick and efficient.
PhillipsHeavy duty cylinder and holds pressure well. Seems well made. Only issue is the moulding around the inflation stem is quite tight so made it tricky to attach the hose from my track pump to inflate it. I run a Joe blow but I do manage to get it to seat after a bit of fiddling. Just a bit more clearance and it wouldn't be a problem.
